Winners!!

I really want to thank Emily and Lauren for commenting on my blog, so much so I will send them each a set of the Christmas cards! I hope that what I create will inspire all who visit this blog! Even though scrapbooking is a passion for me, sometimes I need a reason to sit down and create. I want you know that I use this blog as one of my reasons and I try to create things that everyone will like and enjoy!
Here is a Christmas card using the Jingle bulk paper and ribbon. It also uses the Holiday Trinkets and Snow Flurries stamp sets! I used the Midpoint template from the Wishes "How To" book.

Jeanette Lyntons Color Challenge Pumpkin

Over at Jeanette's Blog she presented a gorgeous fall color challenge and created beautiful projects! I loved these darling little pumpkins and since she also posted the instructions I just had to make a few. This one I kept and took to my club party last night. the other one (which I failed to take a picture of) I gave to my mother-in-law. She was having an organizing party last night as well and I gave it to her filled with candy to share with her guests! They are so simple but very cute. Christmas cards and Give Away!!

Here are some cute Christmas cards out of the current Idea book! I love it that in the past several Idea books they have a bulk background and texture paper kit with ribbon featuring one of the current paper packets. This paper is called Creative Basics Jingle Collection (X5808). It also come with Juniper grosgrain ribbon. The stamp sets used are Snow Flurries (D1384) and Holiday Trinkets (D1366). I also used Clear Sparkles (Z1104), Prisma Glitter (Z134), and Flurry Dimensional Elements (Z1225). Color combo includes: Tulip, Juniper, White Daisy and Creme Brulee.

Now what I want to do is pose a question: What is your experience with Close To My Heart products and how did you stumble upon my blog? Leave me a comment by Sunday the 25th of October and if you are randomly chosen you will receive these 2 cards!! Monday I will post the winner! Good luck and have a great day!

Jeanette's Color Challenge

Here is my Card for Jeanettes Color Challenge. I was a little hesitant to start the color challenges because I'm just your average scrapbooker...I DON'T have "one" of everything. So I don't always have the exact colors. But I thought I would do them anyhow and just tell you my variations. The colors I used for this card are: Black, Autumn Terracotta, Creme Brulee and Olive. I think they go well together. I also used the Beware, October Word Puzzle and Gear Up stamp sets. I dry embossed the Olive paper and sanded it. I embossed the Black stamped image on the Creme Brulee and used Black brads, I also tied a knot with Chocolate ribbon for the pumpkin stem. I am also working on the blurriness issue, so sorry and thanks for your patience! Have a great day!

School Pictures

Well there is a funny story about this...I got these pictures home from school about a week ago and I kept waiting for my older 2 kids to bring theirs home as well. Today I finally got the real story out of my oldest son. He said when it came time to take the pictures he couldn't find the envelope with the money in it. Well that envelope had the money in it for both him and my oldest daughter. So I only have Bill's school pictures... Actually it's kind of a sad thing, maybe I'll try re-takes.
So I used the Main Frame-Backdrop layout template from the Imagine book on page 58. The letters are in the stickease assortment. I did some stitching around the outside of the background paper and then kind of roughed up the edges.
All supplies CTMH: Free Spirit stickease and level 2 paper-Autumn Terracotta, Indian Corn Blue and Honey CS .
other supplies: scallop edge punch

Another Christmas Card

I love this card. I made several of them last year to send out to family. It uses the

Creative Basics Evensong Collection (X5805)background paper. The layout comes from the Originals book. It isn't an exact copy of the card but the dementions are the same. It's the Scalloped Money Holder layout on page 58. I used New England Ivy CS and ink; White Daisy CS; Buttercup ink; Cranberry ink and ribbon. I also used Clear Sparkles and the Shining Star (D1320) and Seasonal Celenrations (D1112)stamp sets.
